Simple Beetroot Curry / Beetroot Pachadi




Simple Beet Curry




Ingredients
  • 1 cup grated beets
  • 3/4 cup beaten yogurt
  • 1/2 tbs mustard seeds
  • curry leaves, to garnish
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • salt, as required
  • turmeric powder, a pinch
  • 2 green chilli


Directions
Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds followed by cumin seeds, curry leaves, grated ginger and green chillies. Add onions, and saute till they become translucent. Now add grated beets, cumin powder, turmeric and cook covered till the beets are fully cooked. Remove from flame and keep aside to cool. To this add beaten yogurt and mix well, adjust salt. Serve with rice.

  20. hai Vrinda..pachadi is Looking yumm..i make this often..me n y hus doesn like the taste off beetroot if making upperi..so i wl make use of it by making beetroot banana shake, beetroot kesari and pachadi.. :)
