Basic Vanilla Cake

Ingredients

• 1 1/4 cup flour
  
• 1/2 cup butter
  
• 1 tsp baking powder
  
• 2 eggs
  
• 1 tsp pure vanilla
  
• 1 cup sugar
  
• a pinch of salt
  
• 2 tbs milk
  

Preheat oven to 350f

Sieve maida baking powder and salt and set aside.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at time,add vanilla

and mix well.Add the flour mixture alternatly with milk,starting and ending with flour. Bake for 30 mints(depends on the oven) until tooth pick comesout clean...

Note: add orange zest to the batter for a nice flavour
