Ingredients
- 1 cup broken wheat(i prefer Goya brand)
- 1/4 cup onions
- curry leaves
- 1 whole red chilli
Directions
Wash the wheat thoroughly.Heat oil in a pan splutter mustard seeds,red chilli and curry leaves.
Add onions and fry till golden color.Pour 2 cups of water adding pinch of salt, let it boil .Then add wheat,cook covered till ready.(Add less water
if wanted dry..)

sounds delicious! I love broken wheat and make pilaf from it to serve with meat dishes.
I also prepare this whenever I'm in a hurry. I also add diced carrots, beans and peas.
this is my favourite upma, and same way i make upma with cuscus..
