Shahi Paneer| Indian Cottage Cheese Curry


Ingredients
 1 or 2 onions   
  1/2 tsp Garam masala  
  2 tsp : Tomato sauce
    1/4 cup Beaten curd
    2-3 number Cardamoms (crushed)
    3 tsp Ghee or butter
    1/2 slice Ginger chopped fine
    2-3 number Green chillies chopped fine
    1/2 cup Milk
    250 grams Paneer (cottage cheese)
    1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
    to taste Salt
     1 1/2 cup Tomatoes (chopped fine)


Directions

Cut paneer into 2" cubes. Heat half the ghee. Add onion, ginger, green chilli and cardamom. Fry for 3-4
minutes. Add tomatoes and cook for 7-8 minutes, covered. Add curd and cook for 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup water and cool. Blend in a mixer till smooth. Heat remaining ghee, add gravy and other ingredients except milk and paneer. Boil to get a very thick gravy. Just before serving, heat gravy, add milk and paneer cubes and boil for 3-4 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander and grated paneer

  3. I LIKE THIS RECIPE ...BUT I HEARD THAT ADDING FRESH CREAM..U DOESNT ADD HERE FRESH CREAM..HOPE ITZ NT NECESSARY IN THIS SHAHI PANEER..GRAVY LOOKS REALLY RICH AND GVE BCK THE MEMORY OF MUGHAL PERIOD..

  4. Reshmi, instead of fresh cream i added milk,u can replace with heavy cream for a better taste.
