Cauliflower/Gobi 65


Ingredients
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1/2 cup besan(Chickpea flour)
  • 2 tbs rice flour
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbs garlic, grated
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • salt, as needed
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tbs chilli garli sauce
  • 2 tbs dark soy sauce
  • coriander leaves to garnish
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
Directions
Make a thin batter with besan, rice flour by adding salt and water. Dip the cauliflower florets
to this batter and deep fry and set aside. Heat oil in a pan splutter cumin seeds. To this add
chopped garlics, green chillies, onions, bell peppers, saute well for few minutes .Now add
cumin powder, chilli powder,chilli garlic sauce, and soy sauce. Add fried cauliflower florets
and mix well, and saute in high flame for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.

    Another great one from you. I like the use of Besan with a dash of rice flower. Of course the soy sauce fusion and use of onion and capsicum is a great idea...makes it an Indo-Chinese dish Gobi-IC-65.:-)

  21. ohhh its so tempting vrinda...i love gobi manchuri.I use cornstarch instead of besan & rice flour, it makes gobi a little crispier even after u add sauces.

  25. Vrinda, this looks positively fabulous!! My goodness, I would love to try this right now. Do you think it would be okay to omit the soy sauce as I have a family member who is allergic to soy.
