Idli Upma  / Upma  With  Leftover  Idlis

Ingredients
  • 5-6 idlis, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ginger,grated
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 whole dry red chilli
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp urad daal
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp sambar powder
  • curry leaves, few
  • coriander leaves, to garnish
  • lemon juice, few drops
Directions
Heat 1 tbs oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli, urad daal and curry leaves. Saute onion well for few minutes along with turmeric ,salt,ginger,and sambar powder. To this add shredded idlis and mix till coated well with masala. Sprinkle few lemon drops over the upma and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

    This is my quick snack attack....loved ur recipe...i usually temper leftover idlis wit malgapodi n grated coconut...will try ur variation. So many things one can come up wit food, wit every house being diff...simply love it.
