- 1/4 to 1/2 cup toasted ground hazelnut

- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tbs milk

Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Toast hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 8 to 10 minutes or until a nice aroma appears, grind to a fine powder and set aside. Sieve flour baking powder, ground hazelnut and salt , set aside. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at time, add vanilla and mix well. Add the flour mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour. Bake for 30 mints(depends on the oven) until a tooth pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
