Chicken Lollipops

Chicken Lollipops

Chicken lollipop is another popular appetizer/bar snack. Unique presentation style is very appetizing and kids love this very much. When we go to restaurants with friends and order for this item, plates are emptied as soon as it reaches our table. Such a fabulous color and taste!

Ingredients
  • Chicken wings - 5(This will make 10 lollipops)
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tbsp Yogurt
  • 2tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • Salt to Taste
  • Few drops of Red Food Color
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon Pieces
  • Aluminum foil to decorate

Directions
Remove the skin from the chicken pieces and cut it in the middle to two piece. With the help of a knife and your hands push the meat from one end of the bone to the other end so that it looks like a lollipop with all the flesh in one side and bone on the other side.
Mix the chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt , yogurt and food color together and apply to the chicken pieces and marinate for 20 minutes. Deep fry at 350 degree F until fully cooked and turns brown. Cool down and cover the bone side aluminum foil and serve with lemon slices.

Another version(Indo-Chinese) of this appetizer can be prepared by frying the chicken in a thin batter prepared with eggs, soy sauce and all purpose flour, corn flour. Then mix the fried chicken with chilli-garlic sauce and soy sauce
