- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar,plus extra for sprinkling
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 to 7 ounces semi sweet chocolates, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In the bowl of an electric mixer,mix together butter and sugar until they are just combined. Add in vanilla. In a medium bowl sift together flour and salt and add to the butter mixture. Mix on low speed until the dough starts to come together. Shape the dough into a flat disc.Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes. Roll the dough into 1/2 inch thick and cut in any shapes with cookie cutter. Place the cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges begin to brown.When the cookies are cool,coat them with melted chocolates and enjoy...
