Bread Pudding for Christmas

Christmas Special Bread Pudding 


  • 2.5 cup of bread cut into small pieces(Use some stiff bread like Challah)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp of raisins
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

   Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Coat the bottom of a 3-4 inch size baking pan  with little bit butter. Place the bread pieces in the baking pan along with the raisin. Melt the butter and pour it over the bread. Beat egg, milk, sugar, vanilla essence and cinnamon powder together. Pour this liquid over the bread just enough to soak all the bread. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top of the pudding turns brown on the edges.
Serve with caramel syrup and whipped cream.
