Nan Khatayi \ Egg less Cookies - Diwali Special Sweet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup ghee or vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder


Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sieve flour baking powder and cardamom powder together. Mix ghee and sugar till creamy.Add vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture . Knead slightly  and make into small balls. Flatten slightly and place on un greased tray. Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes.

  11. Adipoli Vrinda ..it's quite rich if we r using ghee alle ?? .I think shortening is a U.S thing,not sure whether it's available here.
