Apple Fritters With Raisins And Pecans
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tbs pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar
Directions
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. To this add milk, egg and oil , stir
until well blended. Mix in apples, raisins and pecans .Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden on both sides, about 5 minutes depending on the size. Drain on paper towels.Pour sugar glaze on top and enjoy.
Sugar Glaze
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Place the sugar in a medium bowl and slowly stir in the milk and vanilla, a little at a time, to make a smooth, pourable glaze.
