Hi there, Thank you for the invite to view your blog. I don't know how long you have been decorating, but you are on the right track. It seems that you have the rose technique perfected. I would like to suggest that you make your icing somewhat thicker while you are piping so that it holds shape better and does not look like it is melting. While doing the lace work on your cakes use a smaller tip, I think #3 works best and use deeper curves so the lace looks tighter. Remarks about the character cakes. Make your stencil from a real picture then when you do the transfer it will actually look like the character. I hope this helps you. Keep on decorating! It takes a lot of practice and I a still learning new things every day. Fondly, DCRose
