PINEAPPLE KESARI
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rava(semolina)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed pineapples
- Yellow food color, a small pinch
- 1 cup water
- 1-2 tbs ghee
- 1 tbs cashew nuts, chopped
Directions
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a nonstick pan, add cashew nuts and saute till it turns light brown and keep aside. In the same pan add rawa and fry till the raw smell disappears and keep aside. In the meantime in another vessel boil water with sugar and pineapples. When it boils add yellow food color and pour this to the rava, cook covered on low flame till it becomes soft. Open the lid and add cashew nuts and ghee. Grease a mold in any shape with ghee and add this kesari, keep refrigerated until set. Remove from the mold and enjoy.
Note:Add more sugar and ghee for a better taste...
