Soft Molasses Cookies


Soft  Molasses Cookies
Ingredients
  • All purpose flour - 2 Cups
  • Sugar - 1 Cup
  • Butter - 1 stick(1/2 Cup)
  • Egg - 1
  • Vanilla Extract - 1/2 tsp
  • Molasses - 1/3 Cup
  • Cinnamon Powder - a pinch
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp
Directions
    Add sugar, butter, egg  molasses and vanilla extract  in a mixing bowl and lightly beat together for 2 minutes. Mix together all purpose flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder. Add this to the wet mixture and bring together with a spatula to a smooth dough.     Keep it refrigerated for an hour. Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Make small sized balls with the dough and place it 2 inches apart in a cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

  35. Molasses can be found in the baking section in most groceries. It is a by product of Sugar making process. It has a really great flavour and sweetness.
