Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 tbsp of confectioners sugar
- 1/3 cup toasted nuts(pecan, walnuts etc)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degree
F. Put the toasted nuts in a food
processor with a tbsp of flour
and process to a fine powder
(To toast the nuts, bake it for
5-6 minutes until light brown).
Beat the butter and sugar
together with an electric mixer
until fluffy. Add the vanilla extract
and blend together. Add the flour
and salt and blend together. Add
the nuts and mix together and
refrigerate about an hour. Make
about5 1 inch size balls from the
dough and place it in a cookie
sheet. lined with a parchment paper. Place them 1 inch apart. Bake for 15 minutes until the sides are slightly brown. Cool down and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
