Maladu-Diwali Special
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 2 cup dalia channa daal or Pottukadala
- 3/4 cup sugar, powdered
- 1/2 cup ghee or clarified butter
Dry roast the channa daal until it changes to a slight golden colour.
Do not burn the channa daal. Grind the roasted daal to a fine powder.
To this add melted ghee and powdered sugar, mix well to form a soft
dough. Make small balls out of this and store them in air tight container.

I once took my friend Don to a nearby hotel and told him there is a ladoo We never had before called maladu...
he was eager to eat the maladu... when the waiter brought it... he looked at me and asked... Abhi ari unda ennu paranja pore.... ha ha...
