Oat Bran Crusted Soy Cutlets / Soya Broccoli Cutlets(Eggless)

Soy Cutlets / Oatbran Crusted Soy Cutlets

This is a healthy and delicious way to include Soy chunks in our diet. Insead of bread crumbs , I used oat bran cereals to make it more healthier.

Ingredients
  • 1 to 2 cups soya chunks
  • 2 to 3 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp garlics chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tsp meat masala
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • coriander leaves, a few
  • 1/2 cup broccoli florets,chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered oat bran cereal
  • water, as needed
  • salt, as needed
Directions

Soak soya chunks in hot water for about 15 to 20 minutes, squeeze out excess water and mince it in a food chopper. Heat 1 tbs oil in a pan, saute ginger, garlic and onions till slightly golden in color. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, meat masala and cumin powder, fry till raw smell goes. To this add minced soy chunks, broccoli florets, garam masala and salt, cook covered for few more minutes. Open the lid and add mashed dry potatoes, mix everything till coated well with masala. Garnish with coriander leaves and remove from fire. Make some round patties with the mixture .Now make a smooth paste with flour and water, dip the patties one by one in this batter, roll in powdered oat bran and deep fry till golden brown. Serve with tomato ketchup.
