Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins \Whole Wheat Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup molasses or honey
- 2 tbs melted butter
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl combine flours, baking powder and salt, set aside. In a
separate bowl beat egg, milk, molasses and melted butter. Add this to the dry ingredients with a few swift strokes. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour the batter into muffin cups and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.Let cool on a cooling rack for 2 to 3 minutes,Serve with hot tea or coffee.
