Chocolate Rose Cake With Chocolate Ganache | 10th Anniversary Cake

Today July 27th,  marks our 10 th Wedding Anniversary. On this special day i just made  a simple Chocolate Mousse cake with Chocolate Ganache Roses, a small surprise gift to Mahesh through my blog.

This Chocolate cake recipe is slightly different from usual recipes and is adapted from Kingarthurflour.com




Ingredients

• 2 cups King Arthur unbeached cake flour blend
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter,room temperature
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 cup brewed  cooled coffee
• 4 large eggs

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cocoa and sugar, set aside. Add the soft butter and mix at low speed for 1 minute. With the mixer running , add the oil and continue mixing  until the mixture looks like sand.Combine the vanilla with milk and coffee, and add all at once. mix for 1 minute at low speed, stop and scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, then mix for 30 seconds. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well at medium high speed between additions.It will be a thin batter. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
