Peach Crisp


For Topping
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbs white sugar
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 3 tbs cold unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • salt, a pinch
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • few chopped nuts and dry fruits
For filling
  • 2 cups peaches,peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbs all purpose flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Butter the baking pan or ramekin, keep aside. Place all the topping ingredients in a food processor and process until the mixture looks like bread crumbs. Arrange peaches in a large mixing bowl along with chopped nuts and dry fruits.Toss with sugar, cinnamon, flour and lemon juice.Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking pan, spread the topping evenly over the peaches. Bake for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and topping is lightly browned.Cool slightly and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
