Healthy waffles made with Bran and whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cups white Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup wheat bran
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
Preheat the waffle iron. Whisk together flour, bran, baking powder, sugar and salt. In another bowl mix
egg, milk and melted butter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring just until combined.
Heat the waffle iron until the indicator shows its ready to use. Pour the batter about two-thirds of the grid surface. Close the lid and wait about 4 minutes or till the indicator shows its ready. Serve warm with maple syrup and fruits of your choice.
