Checkerboard Cake

I made this checkerboard cake for the first time without using
checkerboard pans. My hubby made me the ring set similar to
the one you get in the checkerboard cake set, using thin plastic
cutting board. I baked this cake in normal 8 inch pans and

  1. This is fantastic vrinda..how did your hubby make the pan? if you could let me know in detail it be very helpful. I want to make this cake but dont have any checkerboard and i dont seem to get it here..
