Gluten free Fruit crisp | Almond meal fruit crisp

Now a days I am focusing on healthy baking. Hope you would have noticed that from the last few posts.So here is my favorite  fruit crisp with homemade almond meal, verdict- Healthy N Yummy.

Ingredients

  • 1/ cup   almond meal
  • 2 tbs white sugar
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 3 tbs cold unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • salt, a pinch
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats


For Filling


  • 2 cups mixed berries, I used strawberries, blueberries, blackberries
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

 Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Butter the baking pan or ramekin, keep aside. Place all the topping ingredients in a food processor and process until the mixture looks like bread crumbs. Arrange berries
 in a large mixing bowl ,toss with sugar, cinnamon,  and lemon juice.Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking pan, spread the topping evenly over the berries. Bake for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or  until the fruits  are tender and topping is lightly  browned.Cool slightly and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
