Cornmeal Pancakes







Cornmeal pancakes


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup corn meal
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large  egg
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions

Combine flour, corn meal ,baking powder,sugar and salt. In another bowl beat egg, butter milk and oil until blended. Add this liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, and mix until lumps are eliminated. Drop this batter on a hot griddle. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly brown. Serve with maple syrup and fresh fruits.

  15. I can't say that I have ever enjoyed cornmeal pancakes....No doubt, I would love them as much as I love any other pancakes :-) The photos really bring out the appetite for good cornmeal pancakes. Lovely post.

  28. I love to have pancakes for b'fast but hubby doesnot like it sweet. so I get to make them very few times. these are perfect for some quick suger pangs. would definitely make.
